The ancient Egyptians never really entered the Iron age even (since they were conquered by Persia, then Greece, then Rome. So they were never in the iron age as an empire only as a province of larger empires) could not realistically stand a chance against the well armored Samurai and trebuchets of Japan, or the knights and infantry of the Teutonic order. Having bronze age and stone age units added to the game would require that such civilizations be unrealistically over powered.
Second of all the user patch has a limit to the number of additional civilizations that could be added.
So in conclusion: Although it would be nice if the game could support that many civilizations at once and had more than the standard four ages, it's just not practical or realistic for an ancient era mod to include civilizations from the medieval era
