Vardamir writes: Those alignments sound quite interesting, a bit like revolting in AoE III. How will they work with paths? For instance, will you be able to align with both the Shadow and the Prophet of the Dragon as the Ghealdanin or The White Tower and the Children of the Light as the Amadacians?

Also, how are you handling civilizations for which most of the alignments don't really apply? (Aiel, Seanchan, Shadowspawn, Sharans, Tar Valon) My favorite possibility is replacement specializations that allow more of the myriad Shadowspawn and Seanchean exotics to be used in skirmish.
