Project - The Wheel of Time: End of the Third Age

Vardamir writes: A projectile is a unit that is created when a ranged unit attacks. Which projectile is a property of said ranged unit, and the same projectile can be shared between units. For example, hand cannoneers, conquistadors, janissaries, and both elite versions all use projectile 380.

A fired projectile is tasked to a target, never farther than the ranged unit can shoot. Basically, range is determined by the archer, not the arrow unit. However, projectile speed is determined in the arrow's properties. Fire arrows are accomplished by upgrading the original arrow to one with different graphics.

As to how to animate an arrow, I would direct you to slps 3798 (fire), 3799 (normal), and 3800 (shadow) if you want an example. Making a new arrow isn't particularly necessary, though: the default ones can serve quite well. In any case the attack animation should have an arrow in it until the bow has been released, as in slp 2.

Finally, the death animation and the decay animations are separate.

I hope this helps!
