scripter64 writes: I've seen a few people with this issue with a certain special DVD distribution (Collector's Edition DVD on Amazon is fine as aoe_scout mentioned, but some other DVD is not), but I haven't been able to get information about it yet (game folder arrangement, executable file details, etc.). 1. Do you have "Age of Empires II\age2_x1\age2_x1.exe"?
2. Do you have "Age of Empires II\Data\empires2_x1_p1.dat"?
3. What is the file size in bytes (not KB or MB) and the modified date/time for both of these (right-click the file, select Properties)?
4. If age2_x1.exe is newer than the year 2001, could you upload it somewhere?
5. What is the full formal name of the DVD release?
