Glad you made something out of it.
Yeah, I thought Pirates II was a bit too complicated - I think a random map approach will work a lot better for it.
@crbenne - each civ will be allowed at first, and if I do anything for civs it will be little bonuses here and there. Unique units will be very hard to balance with there being so few other units already.
