Im pretty much done recoloring all the frames to black but stuck with adding more player color.

John the Late writes: This has always been the case. The +10 bonus is present in a lesser form on Town Militia and gets into full effect on Footmen and Halberd Militia. Similarly, Helvetian javelineers have +10, their skirmishers +15 HP. Documenting this in detail would exceed the tech tree.
Considering freemen: Now that their cost is back to normal, how about also changing HP back to 40?
On LOS and reaction range: While increasing those marathon mentioned, maybe decrease the reaction range of swiss pikes/guards. It is far too much (7) for an infantry unit. 3-5 would be better.

DJeronimo writes: yes, similar to turtle pack, but in one program, cause it could get tricky with a larger project...also if he decides to create a program maybe a quick interface with the creation of a new unit from scratch and different entries to drs and language files would not be bad. we need a specialised unit creation tool from graphic to data editing in simple steps, am i wrong? also the tool must create projects or we would be introducing the whole array many times since forgotten will upgrade any 8 months or so...a project creator implement - so if i want a new tower type which has nothing to do with civilisation i will clone quickly through an existing clone option a tower, i will modify to fit my desire and i will add the graphic in one program! that would be cool! and the possibility to add some units from other games...a tool for uncomplicated people like me...i am intersted principally in the eye cqndy and not in the stats..

aoe_scout writes: One tool to create everything for a new unit from dat to drs modifications is quite unrealistic to expect. There are too many variables and complexities and no easy way around them - modding is not something simple and will never be. The game was made in such way, because modding possibilities for AOE2 were never intended by its creators. It took many years to get where we are. The available tools (especially A.G.E. and Turtle Pack) already simplify the entire process so much and are very easy to use. I know how much time they saved me and how hard it was to work with the old tools.

Civ3 to Aok unit converter tool !
aoe_scout writes: Turtle Pack is quite easy to use, but creating new unit graphics is one of the hardest things to do and certainly not for inexperienced (that's why so few people have done it!). If you are already able to create new 3D models or sophisticated copy-paste work in Photoshop, Turtle Pack will look like Paint to you. So it's pointless to expect anything else for something that's hard by definition.
A.G.E is even simpler and you can modify only the basic things, which you understand (HP, attack, etc) - it couldn't be more straightforward.
Also most things you mentioned are not suitable for AOE2, because it's a simplistic game, not to mention very old and limited (256 colors, no 3D models, etc.). If it was that easy, it would have been done years ago by the professional modders. There are other games, which already offer what you want.
The currently available programs took years to create, I suggest you to spend some time to try to learn them.

DJeronimo writes: aoe_scout, you are very right in everything. it is you, not me who speaks the truth...look i played aok since '99 and aoe since '97...at some point i got tired of the original game, and i played with friends i cannot remember how many games, so at some point i switched to swgb, why, it has 4 or 5 more features than aok, but i is not historical...i can ask for improvements for years to come but i am afraid the audience and the forgotten team just got tired of reading what i proposed, so best way for me to get what i want is that greenpig makes a small program that has some features i could discuss with him - semiprofessional - if i would get these things or parts of them i would be very happy, something to be able to create packs and a small interface like a simplified age, with a feature to add more buildings to the interface and an easy and direct way to insert graphics and create new units instantly - that's it...if he wants he can send it only to me! if he accepts what i will suggest, of course...
